Eli Ten Month Video

If you've been reading for a while, you'll know that every three months or so, I like to put together a quick video of Eli - just so I can look back and remember him at some of the major stages. I meant to create a nine month video, but January was pretty busy, so I never found time to make it. But I finally got around to it this month. He's actually changed a ton since last month, so there are lots more new things to show than there would have been a month ago.

You'll catch a glimpse of what Mike and I call his "snaggle tooth" - Eli's top right tooth is coming in waaaay faster than any of the others. Believe it or not, the top left tooth has cut through, but I don't think it ever makes an appearance in the video. Like I mentioned in his 10 month update - he's also clapping, rocking, waving, making the fishy face, and sticking his tongue out more on a regular basis. And get excited because the pointer finger makes many, many, many appearances. I couldn't keep it out of the video if I tried.

Take a peek at the video below and if you missed them here's his six month video and his three month video.

  3. Thanks Jennifer! I film it on my regular camera (I have a Sony Nex5) then use iMovie to piece it together. I take about 15 minutes of footage of him messing around in the living room, then edit, edit, edit to get it down to 2.5 minutes. iMovie is super user-friendly and really anyone can figure it out - so if you have access to the program, it's really easy to do!

  5. Hi Olivia! BLW - that's a beast of a subject. :) BUT I do hope to write a post more fully on it soon - we "loosely" follow it - I'm definitely not immune to whipping out a spoon when I'm being lazy and not wanting to clean. For what foods - Eli eats EVERYTHING. Like, he's probably tasted pretty much everything most adults have besides honey and cow's milk. He eats whatever we're eating, I just cut it up really well for him and I try to watch the salt and grains. He loves spicy foods, and veggies, and he loves to dip anything and everything. For what times of day, usually it's breakfast and dinner (so about 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.) and sometimes lunch around Noon, if he's awake and with me at the time. Again, it's a beast of a subject, so it's hard to write all about it in the blog comments! Have you thought about doing it?

  6. I so enjoy reading your updates on Eli! My daughter Alice is one month younger so it's like a little preview. I never even heard about baby led weaning until I came across it on your blog and had to do some research. We've started incorporating some of it with Alice and we were amazed at how she could handle soft solids! :)
