It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's ... Eli - er - Clark Kent!

For as much as I love DIY, I'm not really into doing too much for Halloween costumes. Maybe I'll change as Eli gets older and actually has a preference for what he is, demanding $40 store-bought costumes, but for now, I'm content with semi-homemade like last year's Ewok or completely skipping the DIY and going with the $10 t-shirt.

A couple weeks ago Mike and I were tossing around costume ideas for Eli and the big question was, "To play into the glasses or not?"

Uh, yes.

I mean, I know I'm biased, but that's the cutest Clark Kent I've ever seen in my life.

I actually had trouble tracking down the "classic" blue Superman tee, so I ended up ordering it from Amazon, here. Add in clothing he already had, a few safety pins strung together to lengthen the tie, and about 600 sprays of extra hold hairspray and we had ourselves a costume. If your kiddo doesn't sport glasses on the reg, these fake glasses popped up under the "frequently bought together" tab.

So easy.

And goodness sakes, I just die looking at these photos.
Sorry, totally mom-moment happening over here. I'm signing off before I start typing out my emotional little heart. Gah!
