A winter garden table DIY – Liz Marie Blog

This past weekend was one of those weekends when we were so productive with projects we wanted to get done around the house! I was working in the office doing a little cleaning and rearranging when I got the idea to play around with different chairs in the conservatory. I wanted to try a couple of white chairs around the table in the conservatory, but the table was also white and I wanted more contrast so I wanted to paint the table a different color. See how it was snowing? I usually do that, but I love the way this little table makeover came out.

I found this dining table unfinished by [HERE] & originally it was painted by Raw Silk by Fusion Mineral Paint. Raw silk is the perfect warm white color, but of course I was looking for a different color here. I ended up painting the table with one of my all time favorite colors, Fusion Mineral Putty, and it turned out so good! I love the simple and subtle contrast it gave the table. The funniest part? In the end I didn’t change the chairs and kept the chairs I bought here at a local antique store a while ago. I love the color paired with the wood on the chairs!

Another fun update I made at the table? I added wheels on the legs. If you read my first book Cozy White Cottage you will know that one of my tips is to put wheels on furniture to customize furniture and make it more cozy for your home. I added [These] Wheels from Amazon on the table, which were super easy to drill into the legs. These wheels are great because they lock and also add charming detail and a little height.

Such a simple yet effective makeover and I love how much charm this newly painted dining table adds to this room. Hope this mini makeover inspires you in some ways. If you use it or inspiration for your own piece of furniture, please let me know! xx
