Buckingham Group opens £ 30m ice rink in London

The project, designed by Faulkner Browns, will replace the 34-year-old Lee Valley Ice Center with two Olympic ice rinks.

The center would be the first two-pad venue in the south of England and will also have a new gym and exercise facility.

The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is funding the project, which will be built in two phases to maintain an open ice rink on the site at all times during construction.

The team of consultants includes the civil and civil engineer Expedition and the MEP engineer Max Fordham.

The planned building will have a floor area of 80,000 m² and a height of 10.5 m.
