The victim is being treated in the hospital for broken ribs after the accident on Tuesday on the premises where BAM is building a whiskey tourist attraction for the drinks giant Diageo.
A Diageo spokeswoman said that BBC: “Unfortunately, a subcontractor of our main construction partner was involved in an incident on the construction site that got stuck while a flat elevator was being put into operation.
“Fortunately, thanks to the quick action of the employees on site, the person was released quickly and first aid was provided immediately. The victim is currently in the hospital with broken ribs and our thoughts are with him and his well-being.
“Our prime contractor and Diageo take the health and safety management of the site very seriously and all necessary investigations are being carried out. We cannot comment further at this point in time. “
