This cheesy hamburger pie recipe is an easy way to use hamburgers. Just add a salad and you have a meal. Simple, filling and good! This cake is a wonderful weekday meal that your family will love, and it’s so easy to make at the end of a busy day. You can always make your own baking mix here is our recipe.

Hamburger pie is a great comfort food.

1 pound hamburger

1 small onion, chopped

1 small green pepper, chopped

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Sprinkle of pepper

1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic

1 teaspoon of oregano

4 or 5 drops of pepperoni sauce (you can add more if you want)

1 1/2 to 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated (Can use any type of cheese you like, or several different types)

1/2 cup bisquick

1 cup of milk

2 eggs

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Fry the hamburger, onion and green pepper in a pan with salt, pepper, garlic, oregano and hot sauce. Drain the hamburger mixture. Spray on a 10 inch cake pan and spread the hamburger mixture on the bottom of the pan. Scatter 1 cup of the grated cheese over the hamburger. Mix the bisquick, milk and eggs in a small bowl. Beat together until smooth. Pour over the hamburger and cheese. Scatter the last 1/2 cup of grated cheese over your mixture. Bake for 25 minutes. Enjoy!

Note: I used a mix of four different types of grated cheese. It turned out great.
