This hamburger steak with sauce is super easy to make and a family favorite. Perfect comfort meal with mashed potatoes.
Servings: 4th Steaks
- 1 lb Minced meat
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chopped onion
- 1/2 Cup quick-boiling oats
- 1/4 Cup flour
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 Package of onion soup mix
- 1 small onion peeled and chopped
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 4th ounce can pieces of mushroom drained
- Leftover flour from steak dredging.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chopped onions, oats. (I mix this with my hands) Make about 4 hamburger steaks and dredge in the 1/4 cup flour. Heat the oil in the pan and fry the steaks on both sides. Remove to a plate. Make sauce.
Add the “fixine” sauce to your pan, bring it to a boil and stir well. Return the steaks to the pan, turn the heat to a simmer, and let simmer over low heat for about 30 to 35 minutes.
