But it’s not just about us.
Below, some of our top contributors will discuss why they are giving so much of themselves to improve the Inman community and what benefits they have enjoyed by doing it.
What drives the contributors to contribute?
That’s why our contributors like to write for us:

Opportunity to speak up
We are always open to new voices and perspectives and work hard to ensure that everyone has the chance to be heard. Diversity and inclusion are our top priority.
“Inman News enables real estate professionals from all walks of life to have a microphone for our voices. That – inclusion – does not apply to many aspects of the real estate industry, so Inman News has been a pioneer in the industry for diversity and inclusion (and should, frankly, be recognized as such). ”- Dr. Lee Davenport
Inman’s Connect events in Las Vegas and New York and our Connect Now virtual series are packed with leading thought leaders in the industry, and speakers are often chosen directly from Inman’s review pages. We also often offer our participants reduced prices for events.
“The Inman team is constantly looking for new faces and fresh perspectives to be on stage at Connect. Writing great columns can be a launch pad to a leadership position or a career as a speaker. ”- Bernice Ross
There are numerous networking opportunities available to contributors – from in-person and online events to our Facebook group for discussions and story ideas.
“My relationship with Inman began over a dozen years ago when I attended my first Inman Connect conference in New York City in 2008. Since then, I haven’t counted the number of Connect events I’ve attended, but I haven’t lost track of the “friends I made at these events.” Connect has enabled me to meet new friends, meet with C-suite executives from the biggest real estate brands, and more. Inman is more than a community, it is a family. ”- Jay Thompson
Authority and credibility
Contributors who write frequently are (and will be) seen as an authority on their subject.
“Not only have I increased my credibility and influence, but I have had the pleasure of hearing from numerous readers who have been inspired, informed, and influenced by the advice and insights I have been able to give. As an individual, there is a limit to the number of agents I can help on any given day. As an Inman writer, I can reach thousands and change the way they view their professional lives. ”- Christy Murdock
“Whether you are a new or seasoned employee, your work at Inman will be seen by the top executives in the industry, the innovators, agents of all skill levels, and most importantly, gives you credibility that is hard to come by almost anywhere else. It has helped me stay up to date on industry topics, improved my writing, and has provided me with a well-read platform to delve into topics that are important to the real estate industry. I cannot recommend contributing to Inman enough! ” – Jay Thompson
“The conversations we are participating in and even starting with the Inman News audience are remarkable. I feel like this industry would be a much more lonely place if I didn’t actively contribute to Inman News. I’m about 10 years ago to post – thank you Inman News! ”- Lee Davenport

Our contributors are exceptional agents and brokers who enjoy the challenge of sharing their knowledge and voice with other agents.
