My family loves this south fried rice recipe. It’s the perfect side dish for any meal and goes with almost any meat you serve. This recipe can easily be doubled and you should be able to freeze it without any problems. Southern fried rice is great for a busy night out and your family will love it. I make this dish a lot. Required Ingredients for Southern Fried Rice:
Onion or can use spring onions
Cooked rice of any kind
Note: you can add allspice or mushrooms to this dish. I also added a little chopped red pepper just for the color.

Southern Fried Rice
Simple side dish!
Servings: 4th Servings
- 4th Discs bacon
- 1/2 Cup chopped onion or can use spring onions
- 1/2 Cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 Cup chopped celery
- 2 cups cooked rice of any kind
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce
Fry the bacon in a pan, remove and drain on kitchen paper. Leaving bacon in the pan, add onion, green pepper, and celery until browned.
Add cooked rice and soy sauce and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes to combine the flavors.
You can add allspice or mushrooms to this dish. I also added a little chopped red pepper just for the color.
