My real estate background

I’m a relatively new agent here in Orlando, but I’ve been investing in real estate myself for over seven years. What Makes the Orlando Market Unique?

The Orlando market is unique because of its diverse investment opportunities. Long term rentals are a solid investment, but short term rentals are also a great option.

The Orlando market is also very competitive at the moment. Some properties sell in hours, not days. Because of this, we often look for deals within an hour of Orlando where the numbers are more attractive and the competition is a little less.

What do you personally love about the Orlando area?

What is not to love It’s one of the top vacation destinations in the United States – probably worldwide. Between the amusement parks, world-class attractions and beaches just an hour away, Orlando has it all.

Owning investment property here in central Florida would allow the savvy investor to visit their investment, write off the plane ticket, and then enjoy all that central Florida has to offer.

What types of property should investors consider?

Investors interested in central Florida should definitely consider long term rentals. Rental demand in Orlando is insane right now. A broker I worked with told me that rental listings easily see 15 tenant requests on the first day.

Short-term rentals near Disney are also a great investment. At the moment vacation rentals are absolutely getting it done. This is mainly due to the backlog of COVID-19, but I believe that consumer travel habits have changed permanently.

What is the job market like in Orlando?

This area has a very diverse economy. While most people are familiar with the tourist side of things, I would be surprised if Lockheed Martin has some facilities here in Orlando along with a few other Department of Defense contractors. There’s an emerging tech industry here in Orlando too.

After the deal, can investors rely on your recommendations?

Yes. I focus on building strong relationships with property managers who have been in the industry for a lot longer than I have. They tend to have the best of relationships with all of the vendors that investors need. I can connect investors here with some great property managers in the areas I serve.
